Careers

Why join us

St.Vital Veterinary Hospital is a 6-veterinarian small animal hospital that has been serving our community for over 25 years! Our facility is fully equipped, including a computed x-ray machine, full surgical suite, dental machine with dental x-ray, lab station with Idexx lab equipment and ultrasound. Based in Winnipeg, MB we are conveniently located near King George Park and the Red River. As the capital of Manitoba, Winnipeg is a fast-paced and dynamic city that’s been dubbed as “Winterpeg”, “Windy City” and the “Chicago of the North.”

Outside of our work at the hospital, we enjoy the many recreational activities and attractions that the city has to offer such as Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, the historic French Quarter and Exchange District, as well as The Forks— a vibrant market where Red River and the Assiniboine River meet.

Dear Clients,

In order to maintain everyone's safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the following procedures have been implemented:

a) Only 1 family member may accompany the pet in the appointment.

b) You must wear a mask while in the hospital. If you do not have one we can provide you one for a $2 donation to our OSCAR fund.

c) You will be asked to sanitize your hands upon entry.

d) You must maintain a 6-foot distance from team members.

e) We will continue with cashless payment options (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX & Debit).

f) Upon arrival, please call us (204-253-2668) from your vehicle, and we will provide direction as our waiting room still remains closed, and our doors locked. If you do not have a cell phone you may ring the doorbell and wait by the "Please Wait Here" sign.

g) A specific amount of time has been allotted for your appointment so if your pet needs additional services (nail trim, anal glands etc.) please let us know in advance.

If you prefer not to be present for your pet's appointment and would prefer us to conduct the appointment via telephone please let us know.

In addition to the above-mentioned protocols we are screening all clients for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 to protect our clients and team members.

If you have a fever, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, nasal congestion, loss of sense of smell, sore throat, painful swallowing, headache, muscle aches, fatigue, loss of appetite, chills, or fever we ask that you do not attend your pet's appointment.

If you have been instructed to self isolate for 14 days due to travel from Eastern Canada, travelled outside of Canada, had contact with someone known to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days, or are waiting for COVID-19 test results we ask that you do not attend your pet's appointment.
